A river runs through it
A ribbon of coloured resin flows through rich acacia wood like a river through a valley — no two boards ever quite the same. It's the centrepiece trick that works every time: lay it on the table and the food instantly looks twice as good.
Built for generous spreads
Cheeses, cured meats, fruit, crackers, a drizzle of honey — there's room to build a proper spread. Acacia is a dense, hardworking wood that stands up to serving duty beautifully, while the smooth resin river adds a wipe-clean surface right through the middle.
The board that starts conversations
Some hosts have a signature dish; others have a signature board. Bring this one out at a dinner party or wine night and guests will ask about it before they've picked up a cracker. It also makes a memorable housewarming or wedding gift.
Where Design Meets Detail
At Same Side, we believe the little details make the biggest difference. Every product is thoughtfully selected to combine modern design, everyday functionality, and lasting quality—helping you create a home you'll love coming back to.
Some of our most asked questions:
Is each board unique?
Is each board unique?
Yes — the acacia grain and the flow of the resin river vary naturally from board to board, so yours will be genuinely one of a kind. Expect the character, not an exact copy of the photos.
Is it food safe?
Is it food safe?
It's made for serving — cheeses, charcuterie, breads, fruit and other dry or lightly moist foods sit happily on its surface. For raw meats, use a dedicated prep board instead.
How do I clean and care for it?
How do I clean and care for it?
Hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse briefly and dry straight away — never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. An occasional rub of food-grade mineral oil keeps the wood rich and conditioned.
Can I cut directly on it?
Can I cut directly on it?
Light slicing of cheese or bread is fine, but it's designed first as a serving piece. Heavy chopping will mark the surface over time, so save the serious knife work for a utility board.
